Bodies Dismorphic is a series which depicts photographic documentation of disembodiment. All of these images are self portraits printed on fragile materials such as mirror or glass. The images are edited to represent the body detached from the self, or rendered barely discernable as a body. Photography allows us to see, study and scrutinize our bodies from all angles. The processes I have chosen to use are labor intensive and require a great deal of mind/body connectivity to make. Through alternative processes such as hand applied silver gelatine and the wet plate process moments of embodiment were achieved.
